International English Summer Program @ CAL POLY, POMONA Campus

This summer program is hosted on the peaceful, ranch-style campus of California Polytechnic State University, Pomona. Students learn English and explore American culture in the classroom, and are given a matchless opportunity for sightseeing and exploration in the world outside.

Classes are small and close-knit, run by highly-trained professionals and filled with students from around the world. Activities outside the classroom include the chance to participate in college sports—with the prospect of meeting some famous players on the field!

Students may choose to stay with host families, broadening their cultural experience and continuing to develop their English language skills by living in close proximity with Americans. Students may also choose to stay in the spacious campus accommodations or in the conveniently located hotel (Silo Inn) right next-door to the campus.

Students who are expecting an exciting introduction to the California lifestyle will be eager to take advantage of our arranged tours of Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Santa Monica, as well as the rides and adventures available at Disneyland and Universal Studios. And, of course, they can soak up the California sun to their hearts’ content on our numerous beach trips!

Students are given the option of anywhere from a one-week to four-week program in our classrooms. Afternoon activities/excursions and weekend expeditions can be flexibly arranged.

These costs are in addition to the package price. Prices include cost of round trip transportation with driver/tour guide, local chaperone(s), one free leader place for every 10 paying students, and all entrance fees where applicable. Price per student refers to number of paying students. Prices are in USD$. Please also bear in mind that Pomona is a city in eastern Los Angeles County – it is approximately 45-60 minutes’ drive from most major attractions. Public transportation to places of interest is infrequent and very slow. If you are thinking of doing excursions independently, via public transportation, please take the above into consideration.
